Printed Copies of NAFS-11 Exclusively Available Through AAMA
January 31, 2012AAMA is now exclusively offering printed copies of the 2011 edition of AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440, NAFS — North American Fenestration Standard/Specification for windows, doors, and skylights (NAFS-11), available for purchase through the AAMA online Publication Store.
The 2011 NAFS standard is referenced in the 2012 editions of the International Building Code and International Residential Code, and the new standard is being proposed to replace the 2008 edition in the National Building Code of Canada when it is updated.
The updated 2011 standard replaces the 2008 edition of the joint standard and underwent a thorough restructuring, with separate sections for products, materials and components, as well as new product criteria sections for parallel opening windows and secondary storm products. The standard also expands the mullion and tubular daylighting device (TDD) sections and adds lead content requirements for hardware.
AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440-11 is available to AAMA members at a cost of $40 for download and $60 for a paper copy. Non-members may purchase the document at a cost of $80 to download and $120 for a paper copy. To order NAFS-11, visit the AAMA online Publication Store.
