Corporate Renewals and Membership Benefits Announced for 2012

October 31, 2011

Corporate renewal applications will be sent at the end of November. The deadline for submitting renewals is January 1, 2012, as the Corporate Membership year extends from January 1 through December 31.

Benefits associated with AAMA membership include access to AAMA’s full technical resource center and enhanced member directory as well as reduced costs with preferred pricing on certification programs, performance standards and events. Membership also encompasses networking opportunities during our events as well as various marketing programs. AAMA members actively participate in developing performance standards and test methods, which proactively and effectively influence codes, construction and specification issues. Throughout the last year, AAMA has additionally been actively involved in legislative reporting and advocacy, including the housing crisis, the economic recession and the significant movement toward energy efficiency and green building.

Additionally, AAMA’s Virtual Library is only offered to Category 1 corporate members, technical consultant and professional members. This new program offers a system for members to purchase annual licenses in order to offer electronic versions of AAMA publications.

There are three membership classifications for companies to consider:

  • Category 1 – National Membership (Full): Targets companies that distribute products nationally and need to stay apprised of national developments affecting the building industry. Additional benefits beyond those offered to Category 2 members include:
    • National voting and leadership eligibility
    • Certification program discount
    • GlassBuild America exhibitor discount and AAMA Product Display eligibility
  • Category 2 – National Membership (Limited): Targets companies that primarily distribute products regionally (in the Southeast or the West) but are interested in staying apprised of national developments affecting the building industry. Additional benefits beyond those offered to Category 3 members include:
    • National task group/committee/officer eligibility
    • Monthly online newsletter communications
    • National conference participation and sponsorship opportunities
    • Publication benefits
  • Category 3 – Regional Membership: Targets companies that only distribute products regionally (in the Southeast or the West) but are not interested in staying apprised of national developments affecting the building industry. Benefits include:
    • Marketing program eligibility
    • Communications opportunities
    • Publications discount
    • Regional voting and leadership eligibility
    • Regional meeting participation
We welcome you to partake in the opportunity to have your voice heard through AAMA’s Product and Material Councils, which offer forums to address concerns specific to your business segment, in addition to solving critical issues in the industry.
