AAMA Staff Promotions to Better Serve Our Membership
January 31, 2012As we kick off the New Year, AAMA is pleased to announce staff promotions over the last year for Andrea Rhodes, Technical Operations Supervisor, and Florica Vlad, Senior Coordinator, Committee Meetings. Both promotions will enable our staff to better serve AAMA’s members in 2012 and beyond.
Andrea Rhodes Promoted to Technical Operations Supervisor
In July, Andrea Rhodes was promoted to Technical Operations Supervisor. In her advanced role, Andrea prepares and manages the on-going administration of the Technical and Certification Department budgets; serves as direct supervisor to the AAMA Technical Services Assistant and as Staff Liaison for a larger group of committees and task groups. Additionally, she is responsible for developing and implementing database modules to integrate technical operations functions with the association management software system, including the on-going functional maintenance of these systems.
Andrea continues to handle all document and procedural guide draft revisions and publishing, but administration of the entire balloting process has been transferred to the Technical Services Assistant along with maintenance of the Publication Catalogs.
“Over the last six years with AAMA, Andrea has maintained a consistently high level of performance and productivity, continually absorbing more assignments while still completing all tasks accurately and thoroughly. Her strong organizational skills, knowledge of the association and exceptional computer aptitude are great assets for her new position. Congratulations to Andrea on a well-deserved promotion,” says Ken Brenden, AAMA Technical Services Manager.
Florica Vlad Promoted to Senior Coordinator, Committee Meetings
This month, Florica Vlad has been promoted to Senior Coordinator, Committee Meetings. She will now be fully responsible for all agendas and minutes for national conferences, including correspondence between liaisons and chairs. Her responsibilities also include committee management within AAMA’s member database. In addition, Florica will coordinate interim committee meetings and attend Western Region meetings.
“Throughout her more than five-year tenure with AAMA, Florica has consistently grown and learned more about the association while developing into an independently productive employee. She has continually absorbed more assignments and has met each new stage of challenges with enthusiasm. She is a constant analyzer who uses information she’s obtained to provide better maintenance and recordkeeping for all of our committees and to ensure that all Liaisons stay properly informed. This promotion is well deserved, and I congratulate Florica on her achievement,” says Florence Nicolici, AAMA Meetings Manager.
