Development Continues on Fiberglass Material Council Website Content

The Fiberglass Material Council has been working for quite some time now on developing online material and identifying metatags for their web pages. By using keywords that are associated with fiberglass or those that are sought by target audiences, such as architects, designers, builders, contractors and homeowners, metatags are written to improve search engine optimization (SEO) that will help drive those interested in fiberglass fenestration products to AAMA’s site.

Subheads are designed to make copy easy-to-scan and can help determine where pages may be split to avoid excessive scrolling on the page. The Committee also discussed implementing anchors as needed to better guide consumers through their web pages.

The FMC portion of AAMA’s website will feature information on fiberglass, as it provides sleek, strong and sustainable fenestration solutions. The page will also feature fiberglass’ durable nature, in addition to pages including information on market study data, environmental and green solutions, the pultrusion process, the reliability and durability of fiberglass, as well as protective coatings and corrosion resistance highlights of fiberglass.

The Fiberglass Material Council website will also feature photos and case studies, which will both be added as part of the fiberglass photo gallery. Additionally, past case studies from FMC e-News archives will augment the website. If you have any photos or case studies of fiberglass products, components, etc. for consideration, please email Lori Benshoof, AAMA’s Marketing Coordinator.
