AAMA encourages children of member company employees to follow in their parent’s foot-steps. Since 2001, AAMA offers a scholarship program, providing students an opportunity for financial assistance for higher education and encourages growth in the industry through the pursuit of an engineering or technical degree.
Over $60,000 has been awarded to students, due in large part to the generosity of AAMA members. This financial assistance has contributed to academic success at some of the top universities in the country. Many of our past winners have gone on to continue their education at the graduate and post-graduate levels. The following are just a few of our past winners’ accomplishments:
- Career as a Nuclear Engineer for the U.S. Navy
- Career as a Project Engineer for a large hospital
- Graduate degree in Architecture
- PhD in Physics at ivy league university
- Cardiology-focused medical degree

The recipient of the AAMA Certification Gold Label 50th Anniversary Scholarship Award is Sonja Postak (Quanex Building Products). The six 2013 AAMA Scholarship Award recipients are:
