Meeting Highlights
An update will be provided on Building Information Modeling (BIM) with a focus on fenestration from Dennis Neeley of SmartBIM. Ken Nittler, P.E. (WESTLab) will update attendees on changes in the California Building Energy Code. Also planned is an update on NFRC's Component Modeling Approach (CMA), specifically as it relates to the new ENERGY STAR® Independent Verification Program (IVP) as well as the perennial economic update from Chapman University's Dr. Esmael Adibi. An update regarding the new NAFS-2011 standard and a national update will be given by Rich Walker, AAMA President and CEO.
A tour of the Cardinal IG Hood River Facility will take place on Wednesday, April 11. Cardinal Glass Industries is a management-owned S-Corporation leading the industry in the development of residential glass for windows and doors. They have grown to more than 5,500 employees located at 27 manufacturing locations around the United States.
